| Sumario: | The author makes a comparison of some of the conclusions of his work "Estudios sobre las laringales indoeuropeas", with the views of several recent works on the question, specially "Evidence for laryngeals" (Austin 1965). He discusses the u vocalization and the irregular disparition of certain consonantical laryngeals, showing the faultness of some phonetic laws proposed to explain these facts, which have much wider implications than it is generally thought. |
