| Sumario: | [EN] The use of reference management software should be included among the necessary digital skills for specialists in human sciences and history. Although this type of software is widespread in Spanish universities, its presence in the historical sciences remains scarce. This ar ticle surveys the use of this software and its possibilities by focusing on Zotero, Mendeley, Refworks and Endnote Basic. It discusses practical problems, recognising that the problems generated by the inadequacies of citation styles in Spanish. This will have to be resolved in order to realize the potential of these digital instruments. |
