Sumario:In the Jucar valley (northeast of the Albacete province) in the area placed between Valdeganga and the El Molinar dam, big tuff a buildups of Pleistocene age have been described. The buildups appear hung up at different levels with respect to the present course, being the lowest at 20 m and the highest at +50 m. The absolute dating has allowed to stablish ages between 95.000 yrs BP and 239.000 yrs BP, which correspond to the isotopic stages 5 and 7. The fluvial tufas show a varied morphological typology barrage buildups, cascade buildups and terrace buildups. The first created natural retention dams, which present remainders rests correspond with their spurs. The cascade buildups were formed from the altimetrical breakings of the river's longitudinal profile. The terrace buildups are associated to complex sedimentary processes under contrasts hidrodynamic conditions.
