Descripción
Sumario:For first time present day tufa buildups are described in the botton channel of the Jucar river (Albacete). The growth rate of buildups decreased in the last decade. Four types of tufa buildups are found: tufa barrages, patch tufa buildups, tufa bars and tufa lateral bars often cover by mamillary stromatolites. Tufa barrages and patch tufa buildups mainly consist of crossed tubes moss tufa. This moss tufa reflects the flow direction, not only In the hand samples (moss), but even in the SEM (cyanobactehal filaments). In the tufa cavities has been identified some stromatolite structures related with diatom films
