Descripción
Sumario:Annobón is the southernmost island in the Gulf of Guinea, lying South of Säo Tomé Island, under the coordinates of 5º 36' - 50 38' E and 1° 26' - 1° 28' S. It belongs to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea since 1968, when the Spanish territories in the Gulf of Guinea attained their independence. I published some years ago (PEREZ-IÑIGO, 1969) a first paper on the oribatid mited collected in 1959 by Dr. SALVADOR V. PERIS and Dr. JULIO ÁLVAREZ during their expedition to this little island. A second paper was published recently (PEREZ-IÑIGO, 1982), being the present paper the third on the same subject. There -are a few specimens in the collection from Annobón, preserved at the Spanish Institute of Entomology, in Madrid, that have not been studied yet by lack of time, and that will be the matter to be treated in a future paper. Some interesting notes about Annobón Island were given in the first part in this series and, by this reason, they are omitted now.
