Sumario:This paper is the fourth in a continuing series devoted to the oribatid mites of Annobón Island, and contains further records and descriptions of new species collected by Dr. J. ÁLVAREZ and Prof. S. V. PERIS in 1959. In earlier papers (KREz-IfZuGo, 1969, 1982, 1983) records and descriptions were given of twenty species of oribatid mites, as well as some interesting notices about the geographic and climatic features of this little island, that lies near the equatorial line, in the Gulf of Guinea, and belongs to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. In the present paper an account is giv- en of six interesting species. Four of these species appear to be new for the Science and are described under the names of Leoppia longicoma n. g., n. sp. ; Annobonzetes sphaericus n. g., n. sp. ; Magyaria atlantica n. sp., and Mesoplophora insularis n. sp. New records are given of two interesting species : Allozetes africarms BALOGH, 1958 and Galumnopsis sellnicki BALOGH, 1960.
