description In this work, Equity Crowdfunding platforms are analyzed from a global perspective, contextualizing their birth and growth in Spain following the outbreak of the 2008 world crisis, which deeply affected the banking sector, causing a strong restriction of the credit that it offered to companies. This paper begins with an evaluation of the different sources of alternative financing to banking, continuing with the review of the legal regime of these platforms and the analysis of the tax benefits derived from the investment obtained by those who invest in most of the companies that publish their projects in them, subsequently highlighting the development of Equity Crowdfunding platforms in Spain since 2011. The study is carried out both at national level and at the autonomous community level, incorporating the analysis of the number of projects and the volume of financing obtained by this type of platform, as well as the number of investors and the average amount invested. The data obtained showed a significant increase in the financing obtained through Equity Crowdfunding and, when compared with the rest of Europe, we see that the growth potential is still very high. On the other hand, we have witnessed how a completely disruptive technology known as blockchain has been developed in recent years. After analyzing the operation of this new technology, a proposal for application to Equity Crowdfunding platforms is formulated, verifying the important improvements that can contribute to the development of this type of alternative financing. Finally, the barriers and opportunities offered by the implementation of the proposal are raised

Finally, the barriers and opportunities offered by the implementation of the proposal are raisedEn el present treball s’analitzen, des d’una perspectiva global, les plataformes de finançament col·lectiu d’inversió (equity crowdfunding), contextualitzant el seu naixement i creixement a Espanya després de l’esclat de la crisi mundial del 2008 i que va afectar profundament el sector bancari, originant una forta restricció del crèdit que aquest oferia a les empreses. S’inicia amb una avaluació sobre l’evolució de les diferents fonts de finançament alternatiu al bancari, per prosseguir amb la revisió del règim jurídic d’aquestes plataformes i l’anàlisi dels beneficis fiscals derivats de la inversió que obtenen els qui inverteixen en la majoria de les empreses que hi publiquen els seus projectes, mostrant posteriorment el desenvolupament de les plataformes de finançament col·lectiu d’inversió a Espanya des de 2011. L’estudi es realitza tant a nivell estatal com a nivell de comunitat autònoma, incorporant l’anàlisi del nombre de projectes i del volum de finançament aconseguit per aquesta mena de plataformes, així com del nombre d’inversors i el volum mitjà invertit. Les dades obtingudes mostren un important increment del finançament aconseguit mitjançant el finançament col·lectiu d’inversió i, en comparar-lo amb la resta d’Europa, veiem que el potencial de creixement encara és molt elevat. D’altra banda, hem presenciat com en els últims anys s’està desenvolupant una tecnologia completament disruptiva coneguda amb el nom de cadena de blocs (blockchain). Després d’analitzar el funcionament d’aquesta nova tecnologia, es formula una proposta d’aplicació a les plataformes de finançament col·lectiu d’inversió, detallant les importants millores que aquesta pot aportar al desenvolupament d’aquest tipus de finançament alternatiu.
