However, construction activities and infrastructure have both beneficial and non-beneficial impacts, making infrastructure design the focus of current research in finding the best way to meet society's demands for sustainability. Although methods for economic, environmental, and social life cycle assessments of infrastructures are well-known, the challenge lies in combining these dimensions into a comprehensive indicator that aids decision-making. This study uses three decision-making techniques, namely TOPSIS, COPRAS, and VIKOR, to evaluate five different design alternatives for a concrete bridge exposed to a coastal environment. To enhance the consistency of the multi-criteria decision-making process, a DEMATEL-based approach is applied.
