Descripción
Sumario:The North American author Flannery O'Connor wrote in 1955 a collection of short stories titled A Good Man is Hard to find and other stories, the collection which covers 10 stories is mainly characterized by people, situations and narratives considered to be grotesque where violence, both physical and psychological, appears in every page. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the use of violence so as to understand its repetitive presence in the collection. It focuses particularly on how violence can serve as a redemptive path for O'Connor's characters who are normally lacking any true spirituality, and therefore in need to achieve a more sincere religious faith.
