Sumario:ABSTRACT: The current research paper aims at making a contribution by investigating the difficulty of the translation of humor from English to Spanish and from a novel to a movie. The purpose of the study is to analyze all the humorous instances that appear in the original version of the book "Crazy Rich Asians" and in its respective cinematographic adaptation. Both corpora will be used to compare the strategies that each mode used to create and maintain humor in the Spanish translated version and in the dubbed Spanish version. The analysis is approached from a theoretical framework which presents several classifications according to the way an instance has been created and according to how it has been translated into Spanish.
