| Sumario: | [EN] Companies began to be concerned about environment and tried to reduce their environmental impact decades ago when Governments started to regulate environmental protection through environmental legislation. The way that companies deal with environment has changed dramatically since then. Nowadays, corporations cannot just accomplish regulations, they need to embrace sustainability. Customers are provided with more information and are more concerned about the environmental impact of the products and services they consume. These reasons are generating disruptive business models and business trends that have sustainability in their core business (e.g. circular economy). This work has the objective to identify the environmental issues that companies are facing currently, how they are dealing with them and the analysis of the new business trends that are trying to solve the issues which are still pending. For carrying out this work it has been necessary to perform a state of art about how corporations deal with environmental protection and how new companies and business processes can reduce environmental degradation. Results show how these new disruptive business models and new business processes can lead to a further reduction of the environmental degradation through the integration of the sustainability into the existing companies and the interaction with new companies that have as a main objective improving the quality of the environment. |
