| Resumo: | The social workers have been defined, traditionally, as a group at risk to suffer burnout, but there are scanty the investigations linked to this group. Following new lines of investigation on the elements that can intervene in it, the present investigation tries to offer a new boarding to the question, realizing an initial exploratory study that the relation analyzes between the perceived emotional intelligence (IEP), burnout and engagement of social workers native of Castilla la Mancha. Departing from the hypothesis of that the IEP works as a protective factor for the appearance and development of the burnout and in turn, it associates with higher levels of illusion for the work (engagement) we select a sample of social workers in the territorial area of Castilla - la Mancha composed by 45 professionals. For what a series of tests were in use: the scale of emotional perceived intelligence (TMMS-24), of measurement of the engagement (UWES) and the scale to measure the burnout (MBI). The results watch the need to pay attention to the emotional components in the performance of the social work. We think that both the clarity and the emotional repair have direct relation with the levels of engagement. In the sample levels were situated way - high place in the components of the burnout, specially relevant in case of the despersonalization, which reveals that it is necessary to pay attention to the incidental factors in this question as well as to the exploration of the components that could happen to settle it. |
