In view of such a context, the participants in this contribution —reworking of a previous round table— reflect on nine key questions, which can be summed up in one: Is a general, comprehensive and collaborative Pan-Hispanic lexicography really possible?[ES] Entre los diferentes tipos de objetos lexicográficos, la elaboración de un diccionario general de la lengua española está particularmente llena de desafíos teóricos y metodológicos. Su necesidad cultural y lingüística, su alcance y estructura, y la posibilidad de integrar y contrastar distintas variedades dialectales, aceptando en sus rasgos esenciales una perspectiva pluricéntrica, son objeto de debate constante.
