In this article we would like to show how the populist interpretation of two central categories of Gramscian thought, “hegemony” and “national-popular”, is a good example of this. The main threads that we will follow will be the disconnection with its Leninist matrix, the political emptying of his ideas and an idealistic reductionism[ES] El uso y abuso por parte de la teoría populista (Laclau, Mouffe, Errejón) de la filosofía de Antonio Gramsci ha supuesto una erosión, deformación y falsificación de buena parte de sus conceptos, sometidos a un juego de espejos posmoderno. En este artículo quisiéramos mostrar cómo la interpretación populista de dos categorías centrales del pensamiento gramsciano, “hegemonía” y “nacional-popular”, es un buen ejemplo de ello. Los principales hilos conductores que seguiremos serán la desconexión con su matriz leninista, el vaciado político de sus ideas y un reduccionismo idealistaEste artículo es posible gracias a un contrato FPU (17/03632) del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte y se enmarca en las actividades del Proyecto PAIDESOC (FFI2017-82535-P) “El desván de la razón: Cultivo de las pasiones, identidades éticas y sociedades digitales”. En su versión final, este texto le debe mucho a las acertadas y siempre precisas observaciones de uno de los evaluadores anónimos. Concretamente, se ha modificado el tono general del artículo en sus aspectos más “polémicos”, se ha tenido en cuenta la bibliografía recomendada, así como las valoraciones sobre cuestiones de léxico y concepto. Algunos de los comentarios serán de gran utilidad para investigaciones futuras; aunque en la medida de lo posible se han tenido en cuenta sus enmiendas, debemos hacer notar que muchas de las cuales, por su importancia y alcance, solo hemos podido sugerirlas a modo de invitación al lector en las diferentes notas al pie de página (véanse las notas número 6, 24, 25, 30 y 51).
