Resumo:[EN] The aim of this paper is to present the main problems and difficulties encountered when teaching Spanish somatic phraseology to Polish university students. In the first –rather theoretical- part, we will focus on the importance of phraseology in the ELE classroom, that is, we will present the reasons why it is impossible to dispense with this type of units in class. Next, we will explain the concept of phraseodidactics, a relatively new discipline, which has already become an independent field of study, as well as briefly present the main objectives that we intend to achieve with the broader research project (“Somatic Phraseology in Exercises. In Spanish, French, Italian”) that we are currently carrying out at the University of Silesia. In the second part of our work, of an applied nature, we will first focus on formal or structural problems; then we will concentrate on semantic difficulties and, finally, we will focus our attention on the pragmatic aspect of the phraseological units, that is, on their discursive functions. In other words, we will offer specific methodological proposals with interesting didactic implications which, according to our professional experience, best respond to the needs of students who intend to develop their phraseological competence.
