Sumario:A competency-based approach to teaching mathematics in Primary Education is described through contextualised activities. To this end, the first part provides a theoretical basis for the teaching of mathematics based on various models of teacher knowledge and presents various recommendations for the implementation of mathematical competence activities, based on the Mathematics Teaching Itinerary Approach (EIEM). In the second part, two activities in context are presented: 'Mathematics in the street' and 'Musicomátics', in which mathematics is worked on in connection with the environment and music, respectively
