Sumario:The chapter introduces and reflects on the epistemological approaches adopted in childhood research in Spain, as well as current methodological trends. We describe the diversity of the study techniques applied, as well as the complexity of the range of related topics and disciplines. The important role of ethical guidelines in child population research is also addressed.
