Sumario:In this article we supply the surprising results of the excavation of the Caserna dAlemanys in 1988. In the lowerbasement of the Roman tower of the Telègraf ashlars from long demolished buildings have been identified, the monumental archway by far being the most important. It appears as though this archway was made with marble corresponding to the Eastern gate of Gerunda discovered in 1987 and which has been reconstructed with great accuracy. Other results of these studies have been the discovery of what seems to be the oldest cemetery within the walls of Girona and the evidence of ancient intact stracta
