Sumario:This paper conducts a study that explores the beliefs and perceptions on collaboration that the languages teachers that work at Adult Language Schools (EOI) in Catalonia may have. The research is focused on a specific school in a working-class neighborhood near Barcelona, in Baix Llobregat region. The main aims are: on the one hand, to know teachers' opinions regarding their collaboration with peers; and, on the other hand, to get to know how they think this kind of collaboration impacts their results and their students' results, both positively and negatively. In order to do so, different research questions are proposed on the paper. Moreover, different literature on teacher collaboration, teacher cognition and teachers' thoughts on collaboration was reviewed in order to know more about the issue. And, finally, the specific data to answer these questions were collected at the school through the internship period of the Master's Degree in Secondary Education using two channels, which were questionnaires and personal interviews with some of the teachers.
