| Sumario: | [EN] The main objective of this article is to remedy as much as possible the shortage of academic studies on current feminist performance in Spain. After carrying out a bibliographic survey and noting this general lack of attention to artists whose work and commitment must be recognized for their potential for social transformation, what is proposed here is an analysis of some of their most important performances to study the main characteristics that govern them. In particular, we will pay attention to the use of the movement as an aesthetic resource in the works, and to the variations of that movement according to what artists want to express. There is an unstable, fragile movement linked to women’s difficulties in making their way in a male-dominated world of work; a drag movement symbolizing the fluctuating tensions between the public and private spheres; also a movement based on the collective and related to social demonstrations. They all represent the different possibilities through which these artists face the different questions posed by contemporary feminism. |
