In the kingdom of Aragon there was still no specific study on this type of mills since they began to spread in Europe from the 13th century until reaching the Modern Age. This article covers this gap with new documentation that extends to more than sixty the number of draper mills located in thirty Aragonese municipalities. Some unpublished inventories allow us to know what was inside these buildings. The comparison with the 125 fulling mills that have also been identified in Aragon in the mid-19th century highlights the strength that rural industry had in medieval times far from urban centers.Las instalaciones industriales en la Edad Media tuvieron a los batanes entre sus protagonistas principales dentro del sector fundamental de la manufactura textil. En el reino de Aragón no existía todavía un estudio específico sobre este tipo de molinos desde que comenzaron a expandirse en la Europa del siglo XIII hasta alcanzar la Edad Moderna. El presente artículo cubre ese vacío con nueva documentación que amplía a más de sesenta el número de batanes localizados en una treintena de municipios aragoneses. Algunos inventarios inéditos permiten conocer qué había en el interior de estos edificios. La comparación con los 125 batanes que también se han identificado en Aragón a mediados del siglo XIX pone en evidencia la fuerza que llegó a tener la industria rural en época medieval lejos de los centros urbanos.Les installations industrielles du Moyen Âge comptaient parmi leurs principaux protagonistes les moulins à foulon au sein du secteur fondamental de la fabrication textile. Dans le royaume d’Aragon, il n’y avait pas encore d’étude spécifique sur ce type de moulins puisqu’ils ont commencé à se répandre en Europe à partir du XIIIe siècle jusqu’à l’âge moderne. Cet article comble cette lacune avec une nouvelle documentation qui étend à plus de soixante le nombre de foulons implantés dans une trentaine de communes aragonaises. Quelques inventaires inédits permettent de savoir ce qu’il y avait à l’intérieur de ces bâtiments.
