Descrição
Resumo:This project presents a study and discussion of the current state of Generative AI, to be used as a resource tool for teaching and learning to code VHDL.This study focuses mainly on ChatGPT, on its free version, as the aim is to analyse a tool that is available to everyone, it was considered appropriate to base it on tools that are free, international and accessible to any student. The study has been developed on the basis of exercise templates already created and currently in use at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with the aim of determining the level of teacher in volvement a student may require, while having artificial intelligence tools as additional support. Finally, the results obtained are discussed in order to determine whether ChatGPT can replace a human teacher, or whether it still needs some development to reach an almost stand-alone position, if that is even possible.
