Summary:The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has witnessed rapid advancements with far- reaching implications across various industries. By deploying AI technologies, organiza- tions have been able to optimize processes and increase efficiency. MetalMiner, a renowned Chicago-based company specializing in metal market data, recognizes the potential of AI and actively seeks to leverage its capabilities. This project aims to delve into the functional- ity and potential of AI, particularly language models, within MetalMiner, with a dedicated focus on three key areas. Firstly, the project aims to enhance the efficiency of MetalMiner’s editorial processes by optimizing information search and streamlining content creation. This will result in improved content quality and reduced time spent on articles and reports. Secondly, AI proves to be a powerful tool for automating repetitive tasks. The Monthly Report (MMO) in MetalMiner follows a recurring structure, making AI techniques crucial for automating the writing task, streamlining the process, and improving overall efficiency and productivity. Lastly, by integrating AI into MetalMiner’s platforms, automated chat assistance can be provided to address common customer queries without the need for human interven- tion. This implementation has the potential to create a more interactive and user-friendly platform, ultimately leading to enhanced customer satisfaction. Through the implementation of AI solutions in these three areas, MetalMiner has witnessed improved productivity, cost savings, and the exploration of a novel approach to enhance customer experience. This project showcases the transformative power of AI in the metal industry and underscores its potential for driving growth and success in organizations.
