This work is based on the postulate of a writer coherent from ethical perspectives, and pragmatic from aesthetic experiments and innovations. The goal of this article is, without separating the philosophical-moral aspect of fictional work —whether poetic or prose—, to demonstrate that Quevedo can not be described either as «Homme de Dieu» nor «Homme du diable». Who, then, is Quevedo, from the perspective of a critic of the 21st century?
