Influencia de la frecuencia de muestreo sobre el crecimiento y la alimentación en juveniles de seriola mediterránea Seriola dumerili (Risso, 1810)
In order to evaluate how periodical sampling affects fish growth and feeding, 54 specimens of the Mediterranean yellowtail Seriola dumerili (Risso, 1810) were stocked into 9 tanks (W = 909.6 g; VC = 13.2 %), and for 12 weeks (from May to August), 3 of the tanks were weighed and measured every 14 day...

| Sumario: | In order to evaluate how periodical sampling affects fish growth and feeding, 54 specimens of the Mediterranean yellowtail Seriola dumerili (Risso, 1810) were stocked into 9 tanks (W = 909.6 g; VC = 13.2 %), and for 12 weeks (from May to August), 3 of the tanks were weighed and measured every 14 days, 3 tanks every 28 days, and 3 tanks only at the beginning and end of the 12-week period. At the close of the experiment, all of the tanks showed similar growth and feeding rates. Therefore, the manipulation involved in sampling does not seem to affect experimental results. |
