| Sumario: | The results obtained from a study of natural infections produced by the holotric parasite Cryptocaryon irritans Brown, 1951 (Ciliophora) in captive Seriola dumerili Risso, 1810 are presented. Data seem to indicate that those individuals which survived infections by this parasite developed immunity to later infections, as long as they were not in direct contact with other non-immune individuals. |
