| Sumario: | his article provides a ten-year outlook on the evolution of Scientific Communication Journals in Spain, specif-ically addressing the challenges they will face to ensure their economic sustainability and the measures they will adopt in this regard with respect to their sources of funding, their internal organization and the characteristics of their editorial product. To this end, a Delphi study was carried out with the participation of 28 publishers from the main journals. The results show that financing problems and insufficient support from publishing institutions will persist and in spite of this, role of private financing will continue to be minor. These problems will hinder the competitiveness of communication journals in the context of international scientific publishing, so they will implement measures to try to correct them, such as promoting effective digitization or strengthening and valuing editorial teams |
