| Sumario: | Anales del alba represents at the same time both a norm and an exception. Its author, Juan Pedro Quiñonero, won in 2000 the VIII Short Novel Award Juan March Cencillo with this story that is complex in its reading and its generational or stylistic ascription. This journalist, correspondent of ABC established in Paris and recognized in 2016 with the Journalism Award Cirilo Rodríguez, has been able to contemplate the evolution of literature with distance and to represent a satellital exception in relation to other Spanish writers. Exceptional is to find short novels written by contemporary Spanish authors, and even more unusual is to find experimental or avant-garde treatments, as in the case of this literary work; in the same way, it is difficult for criticism and literary theory to define the genre of the short novel |
