| Sumario: | [EN] "If you can't measure it, you can't manage it" (Kaplan y Norton, 1996), this quote summarizes the business management based in timely data analysis for the decision-making in a company. This area of interest has been the principal motivation to develop the following Master's thesis, being applied in a construction firm in El Salvador. Construction industry is one of the most dynamics and solids sectors worldwide, despite this, it presents a slight delay in regards to the implementation of management tools and business software, in comparison to other industries. Because of this, many companies take decisions without the adequate financial, customer, among others, information. This could represent the difference between grow up or exit of the market, in such a vulnerable and competitive industry. This Thesis, firstly presents a contextual analysis of the country, secondly it focus in the internal background of the enterprise to create and demonstrate a customized Balanced Scorecard, that provides the information required at the moment is needed in the company. So the executives in it, can identify in the simplest and fastest manner the objectives that have not being met, therefore, take the necessary actions to correct the course, and even reinvent the company if is necessary, this to adapt to the financial, technological, etc., demands of the market; being human resources a fundamental part of the business to achieve it. With the implementation of this BSC, the company will have a competitive advantage within the sector, this as a first step for future standardization and certification processes, to position itself as a benchmark in the construction industry in El Salvador. |
