Resumo:The Oriental monarchies from Anatolia formed at the same time within the disaggregation of the Persian Empire after its conquest by Alexander the Great and his death. These monarchies were an example intermingling of native Oriental, Persian and Greek elements that these monarchs gladly imitated. The adoption of Greek by the Elites or the minting of Greek-like coins is some of the examples of this imitation of Greek ele¬ments. This paper’s goal is building a scheme of the different tries at Hellenization carried out by this Petty Kingdoms’ rulers while trying to explain why these monarchs put this policy into practise.
