| Sumario: | In the frame of GEOMED project the Instituto de Astronomía y Geodesia of madrid and the Instituto Geográfico e Cadastral of Portugal have developed a project to determinate a gravimetric geoid in Portugal. The preliminary results are presented here. Different gravimetric data banks are analyzed, including the most recent gravity observations. The most appropiate geopotential model in the region is studied. The covariance functions and their analysis are presented. Least squares collocations has been chosen as method to make the geoid predictions. Geoid charts are obtained from a 5'x5' prediction grid. |
