Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The goal of this educational innovation is to introduce the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology in the first course of the University Master's Degree in Computer-Assisted Integrated Manufacturing and Design of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), which is considered a strategy of effective teaching for the acquisition of knowledge and skills that society is demanding from students. By applying this methodology, students are able to plan, implement and evaluate projects that have applications in the real world and that go beyond the mere presentation of knowledge by the teacher, very common in master classes. This innovation has aimed to develop related competencies, not only with teamwork, but also with skills and strategies for management, location, search and evaluation of information from electronic sources and management of specialized software. Although the PBL is a difficult methodology to apply in certain areas of Higher Education, the results obtained highlight the advantages that this type of methodology offers in subjects related to Design and Manufacturing Engineering, such as an optimal interaction between teachers and students or the creation of a positive learning environment in the classroom allowing a better teaching and learning process.
