Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The main purpose of this minor thesis is to develop the sewage master plan of the northern basin of Santa Rosa de Copán (Copán, Honduras, CA) The objectives pursued are, first, to make a detailed study of the existing sewage network in the city, and then to deal with the planning of the future network that has to be constructed in the northern basin, in order to optimize its proper hydraulic behaviour. In addition, the sewage master plan includes a collection of historical data; an economic, social and territorial framework, and a study of solutions for the horizon situation. The present study is based on a topographical survey of the existing network, together with pluviographic data, the urban development plan of the study area, etc. After all this data is analyzed and processed, a mathematical model of the sewage network is implemented with the software Swmm 5.0. This model will be used to diagnose the behaviour of the existing network, as well as to define the best solutions for the sewage of the new expa nsion zones in the city, according to the urban development plan. These solutions will not aim to solve the capacity problems, which will arise as a consequence of the urban expansion, only with new sewer pipes, but also by inserting the required storage infrastructures - storm tanks, to deal with environmental problems.
