| Sumario: | Granted that the degree of motivation of students plays a crucial role within the European Higher Education Area, it is our goal in the present paper to draw attention to different aspects concerning the role of teachers and methodology that influence the motivation of university students. With this in mind, we analyze the results obtained from a survey carried out among second year students of English Translation Studies in the University of Alicante. Data from this survey reveal that teachers can effectively contribute to increasing motivation, even in large classes, and, in so doing, facilitate a significant learning experience. |
