Descripción
Sumario:Industrial-scale production of synthetic sustainable aviation fuels of sizes up to 100 kton per year presents favorable economic production and market demand conditions in Iberia. The three most favorable biogenic CO2 point sources providing CO2 for the e-SAF production process through Fischer-Tropsch with Reverse Water Gas Shift, are all located in Portugal. Due to its favorable onshore wind and PV resources, the levelized cost of electricity for the three top locations are 36.8 €/MWh, 35.8 €/and 35.7€/MWh. The levelized cost of hydrogen for these facilities reached 3.94 €/kg, 3.83 €/kg, and 3.80 €/kg. The final levelized cost of e- SAF, respectively 3.68 €/L, 3.53 €/L, and 3.57 €/L. The predicted e-SAF market size in Portugal and Spain will reach 93 kton and 378 kton by 2035. The potential production capacity of e-SAF would be sufficient to satisfy this demand. The major driving parameters influencing the economical production of e-SAF are the electrolyzer efficiency and the capital cost of the PEM system followed by Wind and PV.
