Description
Summary:The discipline of Situational Method Engineering (SME) [HRA14] provides theory and guidance to build methods that consider the specific situation of the organization or project at hand. This is facilitated by the modularity of the methods that are defined in terms of autonomous and interoperable building blocks (method components), which represent process fragments. These fragments can be assembled (composed) to define the intended method. The DOGO4ML project (https://dogo4ml.upc.edu/en) focuses on obtaining a holistic end-to-end framework to develop, operate and govern Machine Learning (ML) software systems and their data. To address the challenges imposed by this end, the DOGO4ML project uses SME to define its proposals in terms of method chunks to conform a library such that its elements can be combined into more general processes. This report illustrates the application of SME in the DOGO4ML project by means of an application example.
