Sumario:The United States of America is the world's largest economic power, with more than 320 million consumers, and one of the most open capitalist economies in the world. Catalonia is the autonomous community with the highest exporting power in Spain, with a great tradition of internationalization of companies, and with a growth in its exports in recent years higher than both the Spanish and European averages. The present master’s thesis is a study of both the opportunities for internationalization of Catalan companies in the USA, and the risks involved in exporting products or services to the U.S
