Sumario:[EN] In those professional activities in which people have contact with animals, employees have a hygienic risk associated with zoonoses, a group of animal diseases which can be transmitted to humans by direct contact with the animal or through any bodily fluid as urine or saliva, or even by the presence of mosquitoes or any other insects. In addition, there could be some microorganisms in the workplace which are also dangerous for the worker. The tasks performed on the farm object of our study, don’t involve manipulation or willful use of the biological agent. Despite this, it could reach the worker by direct contact with infected humans or animals, by processing their products or by contact with items or means where it can live or survive (materials, water, soil, air, food, waste ...), all of them being used as exhibition sources. The environmental quality has also been evaluated, as also dangers that could eventually lead to an accident due to farm activities development. The main objective of this study is to determine and analyze the overall risks existing in the small ruminants’ farm at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), referring to the industrial hygiene as to ergonomics, and also the work safety, being necessary a depth knowledge of the farm, its workers and the tasks performed in it. We have developed a work plan to get this target in which we could study these tasks they’re performing in order to evaluate in an accurate and real way the risks they’re exposed to. Sampling and measurements have been taken in order to analyze the risks concerning not only hygienic, but also those referring to noise, temperature, humidity and lighting. The obtained samples have been analyzed in the laboratory according to the official methods and the results are going to be defined in detail along the study. Finally, referring to security and prevention, several proposals for improvement, preventive and corrective measures has been taken to limit or eliminate the obtained risks of the evaluation.
