| Sumario: | [EN] The article anaiyses the dialectics of the greenhouse in the long duration of industrial modernity, from its emergence as an archltectura! typology associated with the phenomenology of umversal exhibitions to its conversion into a biopolitica! structure for the production of survivalist ecosystems, anticipating the consequences of ecosocil colapse. This is followed by a critique of the llink between greenhouses and cold war imaginaries in recent proposals for utopian ecosocialism, as well as their metaphorical use In the work of Bruno Latour In calling for a reconnection with the terrestrial.
