Descripción
Sumario:The urbanization of the Cundinamarca-Boyacá highlands, strongly influenced by the functional hierarchy of Bogotá, is rapidly transforming the territory through the systemic reproduction of global processes that influence the imaginaries of its inhabitants and the way they inhabit and interpret it. This condition, which promotes the economic development of society, brings with it a change in urbanization patterns, emphasizing landscapes configured by the images of new logistic and service areas that, to a certain extent, make invisible/threaten a series of heritage resources that support local manifestations of cultural identity. This article seeks to highlight these resources and to demonstrate that despite the current changes in the functional structure, there still persists (until now) a heritage layer that can be promoted and managed around a concept that we will call The Sabana´s Heritage Axis.
