Sumario:[EN] The Journey to the Council of Florence is the first travel account of a Russian into Western Europe. In 1437, archbishop Isidore of Kiev travelled from Moscow to Florence across the Baltic Republics, North Germany, Austria and the Alps in order to attend the Union Council on behalf of the Russian Church. An anonymous member of his retinue meticulously related the different stages of the journey and described to his countrymen, for the first time, the “wonders” he found in the cities of the West
