| Sumario: | [EN] The film La mitad del cielo (1986), by Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón (Torrelavega, Cantabria, 1942) takes as structure the proposal of Vladimir Propp in his analysis of the folk tale. The Cantabrian director tells the life journey of a woman, widow and mother, who leaves her home village. She seeks higher social status and she aims to found her own business. The purpose of this article is to analyse the film, to compare it and to emphasise that inspiration by the analogy with Cinderella. The application of the theory of Propp can be complemented with anothers, which gives to the filmic story specific elements of the folk tales and of the Antropology. All they contribute to the evolution of the plot as well as of the characters. |
