Descripción
Sumario:[EN] Since the end of the 1980s, the Disney Princess archetype has lived an empowerment process in keeping with the social changes experimented due to feminist movement. These new protagonists are characterized by their independence, courage, and determination to make their own choices, facing any adversity that could be found throughout their journey. Nevertheless, forty years ago, there was a princess who, without saving an empire, showcased the stronghold and bravery that allowed her to reach the freedom with which she had only dared to dream. Despite all the negative connotations that have been associated with the character of Cinderella, in this article we propose that it was not her prince who rescued her from her miserable existence, but her humble nature, her dreamy attitude, and her true friends support. An admirable story that we intend to reclaim and, above all, re-read from a new perspective.
