Sumario:Four empirical studies were conducted combining quantitative and qualitative methodology and cross-sectional and quasi-experimental studies to analyze the role of personal resources in overcoming barriers to the exercise of leadership and the occupational well-being of women leaders. The first study tests the variability in the self-attribution of gender traits in a sample of 133 people. The second empirical study with 202 female leaders analyzes the moderated mediation of the indirect relationship between psychological capital and well-being when mediated by work-family and family-work conflict and moderated by the number of children. The third study analyzes the indirect relationship between psychological capital and engagement when mediated by positive emotions and transformational leadership. Finally, the fourth study describes a pilot psychological empowerment program for working women, leaders or future leaders, with ten women.
