| Sumario: | Covalent organic frameworks constitute an emerging class of organic polymeric materials which are formed through the atomically precise assembly of organic building units. One of the most important features of COFs is that they are fully designable, meaning that the selection of the appropriate building units allows the preparation of predefined extended hierarchical architectures with great control over chemical composition, topology and geometry. COFs also display several enhanced features compared to other traditional materials including lower densities, larger surface area and fine-tunable properties. In this regard, functionalization of COFs has enabled the design and preparation of novel materials with tuned properties towards tailored applications... |
