Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This TFM is the study of the cyclist demand in conventional roads, with a double purpose: to develop a methodology for the estimation of the cyclist demand, and to analyze if the databases offered by the web applications, which cyclists use to record their routes, they are sufficiently representative of reality. In this way, it is intended to determine if using only the intensities of cyclists of these computer platforms it is possible to estimate the IMD of cyclists on conventional roads; with the aim of being able to extrapolate the use of these data, when it is necessary to carry out studies of various kinds. The web application STRAVA will be used for the study, since it is currently used by a large number of users. In addition, to compare the results, data from manual assessments taken in the field of study will be used; which has focused on the roads CV-333, CV-25, CV-331, CV-305, CV-328, CV-500, CV-502, N-332, CV-424, CV-416, CV- 422 and CV-435 belonging to the province of Valencia ,. The relationship between both data sources will be studied, determining if the demand of cyclists extracted from the STRAVA application is representative of that obtained in the manual data collection and therefore if it is possible to use it for estimating the IMD of cyclists on conventional roads. From the previous conclusions, two predictive models will be developed to obtain the demand of cyclists in conventional roads, making a study of them. In this way, a methodology will be established for the characterization of the cyclist demand in conventional roads, until now nonexistent. For the validation of the models, data will be taken by manual gauging on different conventional roads in the province of Valencia, with a high intensity of cyclists. The error produced when estimating the cyclist intensity in certain time slots will be used, since there is no real cyclist data on the studied roads. Finally, using the results obtained from the research study phase, different maps of traffic intensities of cyclists will be made in the area analyzed as a practical application. The importance of road management to improve the safety of users vulnerable, these cyclist traffic maps will be used as a basis to propose improvement measures on some of the roads studied.
