Sumario:Nanotechnology has been raised as a promising alternative for the diagnosis and treatment of different neurodegenerative disorders (ND). Among NDs, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease (PD) represent the most common neurodegenerative disorders worldwide. The early diagnoses of AD and PD together with a successful treatment hampering the neurodegenerative process are priority objectives for the scientific community. Although new treatment strategies and diagnostic methods have been proposed, reach the brain is one of the most challenging tasks in modern medicine. At present, the formulation of different nanomedicine devices has shown several advantages to cross the BBB, offering novel diagnosis and treatment approaches. Therefore, this chapter focuses on nanotechnology solutions for AD and PD diagnosis and treatment.
