| Resumo: | {EN} The project presented below has been done under the Official Master in Development Cooperation, specialty "Project Management and Development Processes" of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. It is a project of critical analysis of a social intervention, in which the changes occurring in the lives of the partners, rural women, are studied during the process of creation and development of the cooperative which they belong, identifying what characterizes these changes, what factors have influenced them and how much are driven towards their empowerment as a dimension of Sustainable Human Development. The cooperative, object of study, is identified with the initials COOMUSOT (Cooperativa Multisectorial de "Mujeres Solares de Totogalpa", RL), from the rural community of Sabana Grande, in Totogalpa (Nicaragua). This cooperative was officially established four years ago, , they have been working together as a group since 1999, calling themselves "Solar Women". Their goal is to work for the sustainable development of the community, generate jobs, promote renewable energy and protect the environment. The cooperative currently counts with a total of 20 members (19 women and 1 man). In order to reflect on their experience, COOMUSOT requested support in the systematization of experiences within their organization, mainly to rescue the history of the cooperative, as well as to identify the changes in their evolution as individual women and as a group. Also, it was identified the interests of projecting the image of the cooperative as a modelfor promoting other initiatives that wish to undertake projects in the context of sustainable human development, with special emphasis on the empowerment of rural women. With the present project is intended to answer this request for monitoring the experience through a critical analysis. Up to date a similar study has not been conducted.. This project exists thanks to the opportunity to have a deep knowledge of this cooperative during the monitoring of projects implemented in 2014 by the Small Grants Program of Nicaragua (PPD / UNDP), while carrying out an internship for the completion of the Master. |
