This goal requires the realization of two studies. In the first study a "Gender Role" scale will be designed, since there are only translations that have been proved inadequate in the psychometric analyses. Following the current line of researh, the taxonomy of the personality lexicon in our country (Iraegui, 1999) will be used, shile making use of stratified samples for sex, age and cultural level. In the second study, on the basis of the validated instrument, the differences between the samples of women that do not suffer from gender violence, abused women that are not implicated in the cycle of gender violence and abused women implicated in the cycle of gender violence will be studied. The samples will be selected equializing social variables. The comparision will be realized by means of quantitative methodology (study of results) and qualitative methodology (study of processes). Parting from the results, the areas that allow to discriminate gender role patterns associated with the cycle of gender violence will be analysed. Areas of cognitive restructuring, at the intervention level and prevention level, will be proposed.En la investigación de la que procede este artículo se pretenden identificar patrones de rol masculino y femenino asociados al ciclo de violencia de género. Este objetivo requiere la realización de 2 estudios. En el estudio 1 se diseñará una escala de Rol de Género, ya que sólo se dispone de traducciones que se han mostrado inadecuadas en los análisis psicométricos (Delgado & Martín, 2002). Siguiendo la línea de investigación actual, se utilizará la taxonomía del léxico de personalidad propia de nuestro país (Iraegui, 1999), utilizando muestras estratificadas por sexo, edad y nivel cultural. En el estudio 2, a partir del instrumento validado, se estudiarán las diferencias entre muestras de mujeres que no sufren violencia de género, mujeres maltratadas no inmersas en el ciclo de la violencia de género, y mujeres maltratadas inmersas en el ciclo de la violencia de género. Las muestras serán seleccionadas igualando variables socioculturales. Esta comparación se realizará mediante metodología cuantitativa (estudio de resultados) y metodología cualitativa (estudios de proceso). A partir de los resultados, se analizarán las áreas que permitan discriminar patrones de género asociados al ciclo de la violencia de género. Se propondrán áreas de reestructuración cognitiva, a nivel de intervención y a nivel de prevención.Universidad de Murcia.
