| Sumario: | The purpose of this research is to describe and interpret the coexistence of domination orders that appeared in the department of Vichada, Colombia, between 1992 and 2010, in accordance with the three pure types of domination developed by Max Weber. The studied period begins with the issuance of the Constitution of 1991 in Colombia, which generated a new institutional configuration in the public authorities and state agencies of the structure of the state and forced a greater deployment of state institutions in all the national territory and in this particular area of the territory. The period closes in 2010, before the new conditions that started to be observed at the local and national environment, as a result of the negotiations established between national governments with paramilitary forces first and then with the guerillas of the FARC-EP. The explanation is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is a presentation of some essential aspects of the problem of domination: how a relationship of domination is maintained and the prerequisite of the legitimacy of domination. The presence of the three pure types of domination (legal domination, domination traditional and charismatic domination) prepared by Max Weber together with its administrative apparatus, built to order social reality and to establish what features characterize a social relationship of domination at a time and certain society is analyzed here. Also a paragraph with the discussion that, about the legitimacy of domination, make other more recent authors in Europe and Latin America are included. An approximation to the notion of state institute of Weber that has the principle of legality as the axis of development in the modern world is included here.
